Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Arusha

We will pick you up from your airport of arrival (we recommend you fly to Kilimanjaro International Airport) and transfer to lake Duluti lodge for dinner and overnight. If time allows, we will give you a complimentary town tour where you will visit a local market, a traditional beer bar and the Arusha Museum.

Day 2: Big parades of Elephants

After breakfast you will drive (2.5hrs) to Tarangire Tree Top for lunch. Then depart for afternoon game drive (3.5hrs) in Tarangire National Park. This park has the largest concentration of elephants (often seen bathing in the Tarangire river), lots of giraffes, monkeys, impalas and many birds. It is also one of the best places to see big prides of lions and leopards. You will then drive back to Tarangire Simba lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Village walk, Night game drive

After breakfast you will drive to Mtowambu for a village guided village walk. In this small but busy town where people from all the 120 tribes in Tanzania live together you will have opportunity to interact with the local community and learn about their daily life. You will visit a local school, traditional beer factory/bars, banana and rice fields and a traditional family home. You will then continue to Escarpment Luxury Lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you will do game drive in Lake Manyara national park then return to the lodge for dinner. After dinner you will depart for night game drive to look for animals that are hardly seen in day light like porcupine, aardvark, genet and thers. This park has the largest concentration of monkeys. You will also see giraffes, hippos, elephants and if you are lucky, the famous tree climbing lions. Overnight will be at Escarpment Luxury Lodge.

Day 4: Big cats, Great migratation

After breakfast you will depart with picnic lunch and drive to Ndutu area for game drive. On the way you will stop at a Maasai village to learn something about these traditional people and get opportunity to take their picture. Upon you arrival in Ndutu, you will have your picnic lunch then continue with game drive (4 hrs) towards Mbugani camp for dinner and overnight. In this area you will have high chances to see the great migration that will be in the area from December to March. Ndutu is the calving area for the great migration now estimated to reach 3,000,000 animals. This will probably be the highlight of your tour.

Day 5: Great Migration, Hunting predators

After very early breakfast you will depart for a full day of game drive in Ndutu area exploring the great migration often surrounded by the predators. You will spend the whole day doing game drive in this special area where off-road driving is permitted to enable you observe these adventures up close. All meals and overnight will be at Mbugani tented camp.

Day 6: Great migration, Hunting predators

After breakfast you will do game drive towards Serengeti Tanzania Bush Camp for lunch. After lunch you will depart for game drive in Serengeti. Serengeti is the park with the largest concentration of big mammals in the world and it is where you will see most of your exciting wildlife. The sightings will include prides of lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hippos and many more. Dinner and overnight will be at Serengeti Tanzania Bush Camp.

Day 7: Big game experience

Morning and afternoon game drives in Central Serengeti National Park with early departures. Serengeti is the park with the largest concentration of big mammals in the world and it is where you will see most of your exciting wildlife. The sightings will include big prides of lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hippos, impalas, gazelles, warthogs and many more. Dinner and overnight will be at Serengeti Tanzania Bush Camp.

Day 8: The endangered black rhino

After breakfast you will drive to the Ngorongoro crater for a game drive with picnic lunch. This is the best place to see the endangered black rhino (less than 1000 black rhinos are left in the wild in the world). The crater has also other animals like zebras, wildebeests, hippos, gazelles, hyenas and many more. In the late afternoon you will continue to Acacia farm lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: The hunting bushmen

After breakfast drive to lake Eyasi with picnic lunch to explore the hunting bushmen (hadzabe tribe). The hadzabe that speak “click” language are the only people left in Tanzania whose life still fully depends on hunting and gathering. You will accompany them in their hunting and see how they shoot their animals by using arrows, skin them, roast and eat them. You will then visit another traditional tribe called datoga before you return to Acacia lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Tranfer to Arusha and fly to Zanzibar

After breakfast drive back to Arusha for lunch. After lunch you will continue to Arusha airport for your flight to Zanzibar. In Zanzibar you will be picked up and transferred to Next Paradise Boutique Resort for dinner and overnight in a beachfront luxury bungalow.

Day 11: Leisure at the beach

The whole day will be spent relaxing at the beautiful Zanzibar beach. Day 12: Leisure at the beach

The whole day will be spent relaxing at the beautiful Zanzibar beach. Day 13: Dolphins, Turtles and Stone town

This day will be spent exploring the big turtles in the Prison Island, Explore the Dolphins (you may want to swim with them) and do a tour in the famous Stone town. You will then return to Next Paradise Boutique resort for dinner and overnight in a luxury beachfront bungalow.

Day 14: Fly to Dar es salaam for your departure

You will wake up and have a leisurely breakfast then spend the morning at the beach. In the afternoon (depending on your international fight time) you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport and fly to Dar es salaam to connect your international flight.
