CULTURE & NATURE TOUR

DAY 01 - PROGRAM

18th November 2007 - Met on arrival at, at Bandaranayake International Airport by our Representative and transferred to Negombo / Chillaw for overnight stay at Brows Beach hotel, evening at leisure.

DAY 02 - PROGRAM

19th November - After breakfast, leave to Anuradhapura, visit the First Capital of Sri Lanka, 5th Century BC, surrounded by several large Buddhist monastic complexes and four man made lakes, the Mahavihara, Jetavana and Abhayagiri monasteries are of the same order of magnitude as the pyramids of Egypt, then proceed to Mihintale the cradle of Buddhism, proceed to Dambulla, Dinner overnight at Amaya Lake.

DAY 03 - PROGRAM

20th November - Morning, visit the Sigiriya Rock fortress, one of Asia’s important archaeological sites dating from prehistoric times build in the 5th Century, with ramparts, moats, gateways, a palace on top of a 200 meter rock with well known frescoes, water gardens, boulder gardens are the oldest surviving historic gardens in Asia, then proceed to visit the Namal Uyana, then visit Aukana and return to Hotel, evening at leisure

DAY 04 - PROGRAM

21st November - After breakfast, visit the Dambulla cave temple, One of the largest cave temple complexes in South Asia, and one of the Sri Lanka’s major religious and historical sites, established in the 3rd Century BC, consist about 2000 square meters of rock and wall paintings, then to Polonnaruwa, visit the Museum and the ruins of an Ancient Capital city from 11th to 13th century, return to Hotel for dinner / overnight.,

DAY 05 - PROGRAM

22nd November - After breakfast check, leave to Kandy, en-route visit the Matale Aluvihare temple, Nalanda, check in at Mahaweli Reach hotel, evening visit the Temple of the Tooth and a Cultural pageant performed by internationally reputed Drummers and Dancers, return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 06 - PROGRAM

23rd November - Morning visit Tea Museum at Hantana and leave to Pinnawela, visit the Elephant orphanage, en-route visit a spice garden, and then proceed to visit the Royal Botanical Garden at Peradeniya, return to hotel,

DAY 07 - PROGRAM

24th November - After breakfast, leave to Nuwaraeliya, en-route visit a Tea Plantation and a Working Tea Factory, check in at Grand hotel for dinner & overnight.

DAY 08 - PROGRAM

25th November - After breakfast leave to Airport via Kitulgala, in time for departure flight to India on UL123 at 18.35hrs,
