Explore the Kingdom Of Mustang In Nepal

Abound Asian Adventures

The Kingdom of Mustang:

Mustang is a geographic extension of the Tibetan Plateaus, and the bleak beauty of its wild. Founded in the 15th century by a Tibetan monarch who consolidated various small local chiefdoms into the Kingdom of Lo, Mustang was later incorporated into Nepal but it has remained isolated for years. It has been opened for trekkers since 1992. The kingdom of Mustang still preserves some the last vestiges of ancient Tibetans Buddhist culture. Full of myth and legend, crumbling ruins and the practical king are aspects of Himalayan adventure, not to be missed. Mustang is the old Kingdom of Lo. Actually the capital of the Musatng district is Jomson, but the real Tibetan style districts lies north of Kagbeni and is usually referred to as Upper Mustang. It gives you an opportunity to visit the main town, Lo Manthang, and one or two of the villages beyond. The trek that begins from jomsom explores the rich cultural diversity of the forbidden kingdom and finally ends at Jomsom with the lifetime experience of Tibetan lifestyle in Nepal. Mustang is closer to the heartland of Tibet than temples and monastery of Kathmandu. So let explore Mustang in Nepal.
