Bird watching

Burke is a Barbados-born naturalist whose main interest is ornithology. He has traveled in North, Central and South America and of course the West Indies in pursuit of this avocation. He recently drafted the Barbados account for BirdLife International’s Important Bird Areas Project. Academic training in Geography (MA) complements his interest in nature, culture and landscape.

Burke offers specialised birding trips as well as more general natural and cultural history tours. A four-wheel drive vehicle (Max. 3 passengers) enables us to get off the beaten track. Customised itineraries to suit the client’s needs – from hot strenuous hikes in wooded gullies to cool tide pools and expansive vistas of the spectacular Atlantic coast.

Catering to both long-term visitors and cruise ship passengers. A gas surcharge of US$1 per 4 km will be added to basic fee.
