ITINERARY

Day 1 ( June 05th ): Arrival Sofia Airport and transfer to the small town of Troyan. Visit Troyan Monastery ( the 3rd largest in Bulgaria ) and Oreshak vilage. Dinner included.

Day 2 ( June 06th ): Departure to Veliko Turnovo - the mediaeval capital city of Bulgaria. Tour, including visit to Tsarevets Royal Hill with the fortress. Lunch and afternoon to Arbanassi museum village. Departure via Shipka memorial peak to Kazanluk - the centre of the Rose Valley. Short stops en route to Etura Open Air Ethnographic complex. Check in at a 3* hotel near Kazanluk. Lesson of Bulgarian folklore dances with professional choreographer and diploma to each participant. Dinner. 21:00 - official opening of the Festival of Roses.

Day 3 ( June 07th ): Kazanluk - Koprivshtitsa museum town. Early breakfast. Rose picking in the fields. Visit a modern and a traditional Distillery, tasting of essential oils, Bulgarian pastry, liquor and rose jam. Visit Kazanluk Thracian tomb ( UNESCO site, copy ) and Goliama Kosmatka Thracian tomb ( 5th-3rd c BC). Visit Shipka memorial Church. Lunch BBQ with folklore performance. Departure to Koprivshtitsa museum town. Dinner and overnight at a traditional hotel.

Day 4 ( June 08th ): Full day from Koprivshtitsa to Plovdiv: visit the Ancient Amphitheatre, St. Constantine and Helena Church, the Ethnographic museum. Afternoon to Bachkovo Monastery ( the 2nd largest in Bulgaria ), tour. Wine tasting at a boutique wine cellar in Brestovitsa village. Return to Koprivshtitsa for second night. Dinner independent.

Day 5 ( June 09th ): Morning tour of Koprivshtitsa. Departure to Rila Monastery. Visit. Evening arrival in Sofia. Dinner independent.

Day 6 ( June 10th ): Half day panorama tour of Sofia, including the main places of interest - Alexander Nevski Cathedral, St. Sofia Church, Parliament Square, the Presidency, St. George Rotunda, the National Theatre and the City Garden, etc. Free afternoon for own discoveries. Dinner independent.

Day 7 ( June 11th ): Free time, departure transfer.

The package price includes: accommodation at 3 and 4* hotels, meals as per the itinerary, tour guide in English, activities during the Festival of Roses as per the itinerary, wine tasting - 3 types of wines, entrances, deluxe transport, arrival and departure transfer, certified rose oil - souvenir for each participant.

Possible extra nights in Sofia at the beginning or at the end of the tour: 3* hotel - from 26 euro per person in double room, 4* hotel from 38 euro per person in double room
