Moroccan Experience

Day 1 : Arrival Marrakech, meet and transfer Moroccan House

Day 2 : Barrage Amezmiz – Aït Zitoun

From Marrakech Transfer by minibus to Barrage Amezmiz 35 km, near the high Atlas chaine. Visit the souk of Lala Takerkoust. Meet mule drivers and start walking by smaill hills for a tour of the lac, crossing farms set beside tiny fields of corn, maize and olives trees, ( 5 hours walking) night in a Berber house.

Day 3 : Aït Zitoun – Tizgui – Aït Ahmed

Start walking by the foothills of the high Atlas passing near the forest house of Tizgui village hanging at an impressive height of mountain 1600m of altitude. A panoramic view on the Haouz plain. AT the afternoon we continue on the mules tracks by a small pine forest to reach the Aït Ahmed village (05 hours 30 minutes of walking), when pass night at a Berber house.

Day 4 : Aït Ahmed – Imin ‘Tala

A suitable track until imin’Tala, overhanging Amezmiz river with villages of earth and stone, man has worked minor miracles to build terraces and irrigation channels in order to extract what he needs from nature live. In face of summit of 4000m we pass night at a Berber house (06 hours walking).

Day 5 : Imin ‘Tala – Tnirt

Crossing a pass of 1800m of Jbel Allaghine, by a small path in a spectacular pine forest, with a nice view on the snowing High Atlas summits. Down on the Azeghour village, after a small climb up we reach the Tnirt village in which we pass night at a Berber house (6 hours walking).

Day 6 : Tnirt – Imin’Tala

A small path to pass Tizi n’Fourna 2021m the second high point on the itinerary, nice down on the Kettou village, meet warm Berber people, continue by side of AMezmiz river to return to Imin Tala village to discover the ways of Berber life in the village: traditional ways of working the earth, daily working women and pastoral life. In the afternoon a relaxation at the Hammam of the village, diner and night at a Berber house ( 05H30 walking).

Day 7 : Imin‘Tala – Aït Zitoun – Marrakech

For 5 hours crossing villages by side of Amezmiz river in a mineral landscape and a berber villages life to reach Aït Zitoun village, meet minibus and back to Marrakech, night Moroccan House hotel

Day 8 : Transfer to the airport
