ITINERARY

Day 01: ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI: Arrival at Islamabad international airport, transfer to centrally located hotel/guest house. In the afternoon site seeing of twin cities (Islamabad & Rawalpindi), visit modern mosque Shah Faisal, Doman-e-koh, Shakarparian hills, Lok Versa, Modern markets (Jinnah supper & supper markets), Raja Bazaar, Cant area etc. O/N stay in hotel

Day 02: ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI – BESHAM: Leave for Besham by road via Karakorum Highway (The Old Silk Route) 6-7 hours drive). En route visit Taxila Museum (1 hour drive). The modern town of Taxila is 35 km from Islamabad. Most of the Archeological Sites at Taxila (600 B.C-500 A.D) are located around Taxila Museum. For over 100 years, Taxila remained famous of as a centre of learning in respect of Gandhara Art of Sculpture, education and Buddhism in the days of Buddhist glory. There are over 50 archeological sites scattered in a radius of 30 km around Taxila. Some of the most important sites include Dharmarajika, Stupa and Monastery (300 B.C – 200 A.D), Bhir Mound (600-200 B.C) Sirkap (200 B.C – 600 A.D, Jundial Temple (250 B.C), and Julian Monastery (200-600 A.D). O/n stay at hotel.

Day 03: BESHAM – GILGIT: Departure for Gilgit (10 hours drive). En route visit the pre-historic rock carving inscription at Shatial, view of Nanga Parbat (Killer Mountain) 9th highest peak in the world and junction point of three greatest mountain ranges (Himalaya, Karakorum & Hindukush). Arrival at Gilgit for O/N stay.

Day 04: TOUR OF TYPICAL MOUNTAIN BAZAAR GILGIT - HUNZA: Morning site seeing of Gilgit, tour include, visit famous mountain bazaar, suspension bridges, Kargha Buddha and walk along the Gilgit River. After lunch we will drive 3 hours to Hunza, en route we will stop at Danyore Chinese graveyard, newly introduce by professional team of Active Tour Pakistan rock carving at village Rahimabad and at several point stop for view point of Rakaposhi (7788m) along the Hunza river. O/N stay in hotel.

Day 05: KARIMABAD (HUNZA): Full day tour of Hunza, tour includes Baltit (Karimabad) Fort (600 years old), Altit Fort, Bazaar and meet with Hunzukuts (local people). The miracle of the Hunzukuts longevity, supposedly resulting from their mostly vegetarian diets of cereals and fruits. The valleys of Hunza and Nagar some of the most beautiful valleys in the Northern parts of Pakistan The people of this area are known for their legendary good health, longevity and hospitality. From Hunza valley, Panoramic views of Rakaposhi (7788m) Diran Peak 7266m, Spantik peak 7027m Ultar-II 7388m and lady finger peak 6000m). O/N stay in hotel

Day 06: KARIMABAD – SOST – KHUNERAB PASS - TASHGURGAN: Morning drive in the beautiful valleys of upper Hunza to Sost which is last check point before entering into china. After immigration and custom clearance departure for Tashgurgan via world highest international border Khunjerab Pass (4733m) – the first small town on China Side. O/N stay in hotel.

Day 07: TASHGURGAN – KASHGAR: Leave for Kashgar; en route enjoy the sceneries of two historic peaks of Pamir range Muztagh Ata and Konjpur, Lunch at Karakole Lake. Arrival at Kashgar and transfer to hotel for O/N stay.

Day 08 City tour at Kashgar, Our tour includes the tombs of Apak Hoja Tomb, well-known Kashgar Bazaar, the famous Id Kah Mosque and the most unique old town with typical Uyghur styled homes. We visit the various shopping alleys full of noodle shops, bakeries, teashops, blacksmiths and carpenters.

Day 09 – 15: KASHGAR – ISLAMABAD: Drive back to Islamabad and transfer to Islamabad international airport for embark flight. End of Services.
