The duration of the tour is 2 Days and 1 Night. The Tour starts from Chennai in the morning and we proceed to Kancheepuram to see temples built during the 8th, 12th and 16th centuries and still in worship. In Kancheepuram, first we will visit the Kamakshi Amman Temple, the highlight will be the temple elephant. second we will visit the Ekambranatha temple, the temple of the Mango tree with a 57 meter tall Gopuram. third we will visit the Kailashnatha Temple, the oldest temple made of sandston. Lastly we visit the Varadarajasamy Temple for the 100 pillar hall. After lunch we shop for the famous hand made Kancheepuram Silks and then proceed to Mamallapuram for Night Halt. The next day we visit the Rock carvings of Mamallapuram, the highlight will be the Shore Temple and the Five Rathas. after lunch we come back to Chennai.
