JOURNEY TO HUNZA IN BLOSSOM

Among the tourists Northern Area is famous for its cherry blossom season.

In March April and May the valley is full of flowers, and Panoramic view across the Hunza and Nagar Valleys incorporate three snow capped peaks over 7,000 meters (Rakaposhi 7788Mtrs and Ultar 7388Mtrs), providing a contrast to the natural environments of Hunza. The view of Hunza from Karimabad in spring is incredible, though it remain spectacular at any time of the year.

ITINERARY

Day1: Early morning flight to Gilgit (Capital of Northern Area approx 55 minutes flight, Breakfast at Gilgit. After Breakfast drive to Hunza by Toyota van, it will take two and half-hours to reach Karimabad Hunza. Following the Karakarum Highway en route stopping at Rakaposhi View Point. Lunch at Karimabad and on the same day visit to Baltit Fort, Overnight stay at.

Day2 :A daylong excursion to Duiker Viewpoint for sunrise. After Duiker visit Altit village. A short walk from Altit to Baltit village. After lunch drive to upper Hunza (Gojal). Overnight Passu.

Day3; A day for easy trekking, exploring Yunz valley. It is around 5 to 6 hrs trekking to go arround Passu Glacier and Batura Glacier. On the way to Passu Glacier you can also view beautiful Lake of Passu. Traditional foods will serve on dinner at local house. It is also possible to go around the village to cultural experience.

Day4: A day excursion to Khunjerab Pass (approx. 7 hrs driving). The altitude of the pass is 4,877Mtrs. Khunjerab Top is a broad, grassy saddle flanked on all side by snowy peaks. Overnight at Passu.

Day5yA day excursion to Boibar Valley, it is a summer pasture of the Markhun village and also the first place where the Wakhi people settled migrated from Wakhan. Overnight at Passu.

Day6: A day excursion to Shimshal Valley by jeep. Shimshal was the only area in north having no road access. Recently the road was completed and opens for tourists. It is a beautiful village and the inhabitants are Wakhi. Approximately 3 to 4 hrs driving from Passu. Overnight camping at Shimshal Village or staying at the local Guest House.

Day7: Exploring the Shimshal Village and around, to experience the life style of Wakhi people by visiting their houses and field where they are working. Overnight at Shimshal.

Day8: Drive to Karimabad and en route lunch at Passu. Overnight at Karimabad.

Day 10: Day 4: Flight to Islamabad

One hour flight time and again magnificent views of the Karakoram. On arrival in Islamabad transfer to the hotel.

OR drive in case of flight cancellation. Overnight Besham and next day to Islamabad

In case of the flight, Islamabad / Gilgit does not operate; group will depart by road stopping overnight at Chilas (approx. 11 hours driving). Arrive on Day 2nd in Gilgit and proceed to Hunza (7-8 hrs driving).
