Experience the essence of Auckland and New Zealand in this diverse one day tour - from experiencing the most spectacular scenery in the Waitakere Ranges to seeing examples of kiwi ingenuity and history, to the amazing kiwi creativity and the abundance that the location of Auckland to the ocean gives us. Located only 45 minutes from downtown Auckland.

From there we head to the Waitakere Ranges and the Arataki Visitor Centre. At the centre we also get to see large carvings representing Te Kawerau a Maki ancestors, carved from two dead Kauri trees taken from Te Wao Nui o Tiriwa, the forest of the ranges. The other attraction at the visitor centre is the amazing lookout over the Manukau Harbour and the Waitakere Ranges.

Then we continue towards Piha to our Bush walk along a beautiful Stream in a regenerating forest to a 40m layered waterfall with a large pool at the bottom.

After our walk we will have some lunch (included) and then head to Piha Beach. Piha Beach is New Zealand’s most famous surf beach, and also an example of one of the Black Sand Beaches on the West Coast of New Zealand.

After some time at Piha Beach we then return back to Auckland City for some more sight seeing. We will head to Parnell to see one of the very strange phenomena found in New Zealand - they pick up whole houses and move them to other places. This will give a bit of an inside to ‘kiwi ingenuity’ and history.

And then we finish off our tour with our last stop at the Auckland Fish Market. This is will give you an idea of the abundant fish live around New Zealand.
