I had the chance to go birding around Siem Reap a couple of years ago. We started at dawn crossing Tonle Sap Lake--actually an arm of the Mekong River that floods have the year. Picked up lots of wading and water birds as we crossed. Once across, we went to Prek Toal--and I got to see the greater adjutants that had just arrived the day before. Great expeience, great birding--and a nice break from seeing one temple after another. goldsmith99@msn.com
