After morning pick-up at hotel, we leave Reykjavik on a private tour to see Iceland's three greatest attractions. At Thingvellir National Park & UNESCO World Heritage Site, we see dramatic evidence of the dynamic process of Plate Tectonics and learn of the Vikings' establishment of their Althing Parliament in 930 AD. At Geysir Hot Springs Area we learn that it is here where the generic term "geyser" originated from Iceland's Geysir. We enjoy several amazing eruptions of Strokkur, the reliable neighbor of Geysir, and see up-close how a geysir erupts. A short distance down the road, is the thundering waterfall, Gullfoss, a stunning sight all year round.
