DAY 1: Arrival- Belize International Airport/ Birds Eye View Lodge
After clearing immigration and customs you are met by your guide and
travel the Northern Highway to Crooked tree village inside the wildlife
sanctuary and check into your accommodations in time for dinner
There will be opportunities for birding along the way.
Lunch, Dinner & Overnight Bird’s Eye View Lodge
DAY 2: Lamanai Mayan Ruins,
Following breakfast we drive an hr to the toll bridge where we will board
our boat for the ride to the Mayan ruins of Lamanai. The leisurely boat
ride takes us approximately 30 miles up the New River, where we have the
opportunity to see many water birds such as Black Crowned Night Herons,
Purple Gallinule, Kingfishers,snail kites and more
You may also see crocodiles and other wildlife along the way. After
arriving at Lamanai we will have the chance to explore the ruins and have
the opportunity to view birds such as Red-lored Parrots, Black-Crowned
Motmots, Collared Aracari Toucans, Lineated and Pale-billed Woodpeckers,
and Black-Headed and Violaceous Trogons. In addition, Black Howler
Monkeys are usually seen or heard here.
Breakfast, Dinner & Overnight Bird’s Eye View Lodge; Lunch at Lamanai
DAY 3: Crooked Tree-Crystal Paradise Lodge
We will do early morning birding by boat on the lagoon of Crooked Tree
Wildlife Sanctuary. Water birds will be the main target with special
emphasis on finding the Jabiru, Sungrebe and Agami herons. Depart for
Crystal paradise after a late breakfast allowing a stop at the Belize Zoo
and for lunch at one of the local restaurants. We check into our
accommodations at Crystal Paradise

DAY 4: Mountain Pine Ridge and Hidden valley Falls
After an early breakfast we depart for the Mountain Pine Ridge Reserve.
Here we have the opportunity to see yellow faced grassquits, Rufous-capped
Warblers, Acorn Woodpeckers, Yellow-backed Orioles and Golden-hooded
Tanagers. Black headed Siskins can often be seen flying in flocks. There
is a strong possibility of seeing the orange-breasted falcons and king
vultures by The 1,000 Ft. Falls (Hidden Valley).

DAY 5: Crystal Paradise- Tikal Guatemala
Travel 1 ½ hr drive into neighboring Guatemala to visit a very important
Maya site. Located in the Peten lowland of Guatemala, this huge Classic Period Maya site, rich in jungle flora and fauna, is considered one of the world's premier Archaeological
Reserves. The park consists of 225+ square kilometers
Guided tour of Tikal Maya site itself which offers great birding
opportunties. Some of the birds we hope to see include the Toddy-motmot
slaty-tailed trogons, orange breasted falcons, Occelated turkeys, Crested
Guans and more
Breakfast at Crystal Paradise; Lunch, Dinner, & Overnight at Tikal Inn
DAY 6: Tikal, Belize City, Caye Caulker
Pre breakfast bird-walk. Leave Tikal after a late breakfast transfer to
Belize City optional stops along the way to bird and have lunch at a local restaurant
Breakfast Tikal, Lunch on the way, Dinner & Overnight in Caye Caulker
DAY 7: Caye Caulker- Hol Chan Marine Reserve
Pre-breakfast bird walk on the reserve there as we look for the Whimbrels,
Black Catbird, Bananaquit, and more.
Magnificent Frigatebirds and Brown Peilicans,are commonly seen flying over the sea.
After breakfast we board boat for a snorkel trip

DAY 8: Caye to BZE via water taxi or plane
Transfer to BZE Int’l airport for your flight home after a fun filled birding vacations in Belize.
