Discover Istanbul at the weekend
Istanbul is a huge city over 8 million people live so the tours start early at 8:00 breakfast and live at 8:45 from the hotel to dicover the lovely hometown. We travel with our coach towards the historic peninsula where we visit Hagia Sophia built in 537 Anno Domino, after approxiametely one hour later opposite to Hagia Sophia, The Blue Mosque where the Ottoman Sultans began their journeys to Hac in 18 th century which took 6 months. The blue tiles are very famous and the the original nam is Sultan Ahmet Mosque. It has got 6 minarets and 14 balconies which shows that the Sultan is the 6th sultan after Istanbul became the capital of the Empire and 16th Sultan of the Empire. Then we visit the Topkapi Palace, the House of the Sultans after the capturing Constantinople in 1453n till 1840s. It is famous of its china collection which is second best in the world and the treasury section and Harem section is also very attractive for every visitor. After lunch in Konyali Restaurant which is situated in the Palace we visit the İbrahim Pascha house which is now the Islamic Art collection Museum , it is famous of the old hand made Turkish world famous dobble knotting anthic rugs. Then the next stop is the hypodrium where horse races took place. Then last stop is the Byzantium cistern where they kept water in Byzantium period we walk through the columns over hundred meters to hundred meters. It was a tiresome day but its worth it.
