Romania Tour 1: DAY 1: Transfer from the airport at Bucharest to Sinaia (this is a town resort in Charpatian mountains). Sina is one of the most interesting town resort from Carpathian Mountains. Depending on arrival time we will visit Peles Castle, one of the most famous castles in Europe. Accomodation in a guest house (all conditions. ), welcome dinner . During the dinner we will speak about the plan of the trip in Romania, details. DAY 2: Sinaia-Busteni, visiting one of the highest places in Romania: the SPHYNX and The BABELE, known as old ladies. Acces to these touristic objectives will be done by cablecar. The time and the wind sculptated in stones amaizing shapes that dominate the landscape scraping the sky. Breakfast in Sinaia, lunch and dinner in Busteni, in the guest house where will be also accomodation. DAY 3: Busteni-Bran, crossing the mountains, to arrive and visit one of the Dracula, s castle from Transylvania. Here you, ll have possibility to buy a lot of souvenires, traditional art, to taste amaizing romanian wine and palinka(plum brandy). Breakfast in Busteni, lunch and dinner close to Bran. Accomodation in Simon, near Bran resort, in a very peacefull place, down to the hills and mountains. DAY 4: Bran-Tulcea(arround 250 miles), following the route Bran-Brasov-the Buzau Valey(one of the most spectacular in Romania), crossing the Danube river by ferry-Tulcea town. It, s a long day, but very impresive. Breakfast in Simon, lunch along the road, dinner and accomodation in Tulcea, in a very nice guest house. DAY 5: Tulcea-THE DANUBE DELTA-Channel Litcov-Channel Crisan. Starting now, the trip will be by water way, on a boat with water toilette, kitchen, terasse for bird watching, saloon with bads for sleepee people! Accommodation in Crisan village, in a very nice guest house situated along the Danube river, in the middle of the Danube Delta. Is the day when planty of birds could be seen all over and very close. Is the pelican, s, heron, s or woodpeakers day... DAY 6: Crisan- Caraorman village, crossing the lakes. Puiu-Puiulet-Rosu-Rosulet-Sulina town. A day very rich in bird watching, pelicans, a lot of species of herons, grebes, falcons(especialy red footed falcon), white tailed eagle... Breakfast in Crisan, lunch on board, in the middle of the nature, dinner and accomodation in Sulina town. DAY 7: Sulina is a very old romanian town, that in old times was a pirate refugees port. The town is very interesting for its international cemetery and the old light tower. Here the Danube enters into the Black Sea... It, s a walking day, and also, for birds passioned a very interesting day(srikes, hoopoos, bee-eaters and more others... All meals we will have in Sulina(board or restaurants. ) DAY 8: Sulina-Mila 23 village. A very interesting day, crossing lakes, channels, the Danube, floating islands. Accommodation in Mila 23 village, this is a fishermen village, situated in the wildest place of the Danube delta. You must "feel" the sunset here. Breakfast in Sulina, lunch on board, dinner and accomodation in Mila 23 village, in a traditional guest house. DAY 9: Mila 23 village-Lopatna channel-Heracle channel-Batag monastery-Babina lake-Mila 23 village. As all the days spent in this nature Paradise, this day offer us an amaizing mixture of water, channels, reed, birds, fishermen, water lilies, sunrise and sunset. The Batag monastery is situated in the heart of the Danube Delta, in a very isolated place, in a perfect harmony with the nature. Breakfast on guest house, lunch and dinner on board. DAY 10: Mila 23 village-Olgutza channel-Sontea channel-Sireasa channel-Fortuna lake-Baclanesti lake-Nebunu lake-Tulcea. This is a very long bird watching day, probable the richest as bird species. The landscapes will be also delightfull and beeing the last day spent in the Danube Delta, for sure you, ll never forget it. Breakfast in Mila 23 guest house, lunch on board, dinner in Niculitel village. Transfer by minivan to this village situated in the middle of a very famouse vineyard, oportunity for us to taste some very delicious local wines and to eat a very tasty traditional romanian food. DAY 11: Niculitel-Babadag forest-Histria-Vadu. One of the richest bird areal in Romania, where we could see pratincols, dalmatian pelicans, warblers... Breakfast in Niculitel, lunch as picknic, dinner in Babadag "DOI IEPURASI" restaurant. Accomodation in Babadag forest, in a very special guest house, place to see a lot of different birds of prey(eagles, buzzards, falcons... ) DAY 12: Babadag-Bucharest airport departing by plane. Meals on the road. Romania Tour 3: ECO-CULTURE/bird watching trip Day 1: Transfer from Bucharest airport to Tulcea. From Bucharest to Tulcea there are arround 190 miles that will be done by minivan. Depending on your arrival, meal on the road on a restaurant. Accommodation and welcoming dinner in Tulcea Day 2: Tulcea-THE DANUBE DELTA-Channel Litcov-Channel Crisan-Mila 23 village. Accommodation and traditional dinner in this wonderful wild fisherman village. The trip will be done by boat, a pleasant one, water toilette provided, kitchen, terases for relax. The Mila 23 village is situated in the heart of the Danube Delta, sorrounded by water, reed, lakes and pelicans. Breakfast in Tulcea hotel, lunch on board, dinner on guest house. Of course, the fish will be the “hit” of the dinner. Day 3: Mila 23 village-Olgutza channel-Sontea channel-Sireasa channel-Fortuna lake-Baclanesti lake-Nebunu lake-Tulcea. Gheorghe town(Transylvania) crossing Carpathian mountains, towards Buzau Valey(one of the most spectacular Valey from Romania), driving along exceptional landscapes. Accommodation nearby Sf. Gheorghe area. Breakfast at the restaurant in Tulcea, lunch on road and the dinner to the guest house. It will be the day of transfer between the Danube Delta landscapes and the Carpathian mountains . Day 5: Sf. Gheorghe-Gheorghieni-Lacu Rosu. We will crosse large fields going to very spectacular mountains. A great diversity of landscapes could be observed. For birdwatchers will be a nice day for vultures, eagles. Breakfast at the guest house where we slept, lunch on the road, dinner on the board of Lacu Rosu lake... Day6:Bicaz gorges-Bicaz lake-Sucevitza . One of the most spectacular mountain area in Romania. The Bicaz Gorges are the most spectacular and huge gorges in romanian mountains. Walking on the road arround 0, 5 miles to feel the stone, their wildness. Accommodation and traditional dinner in a guest house in Sucevitza. Breakfast and lunch on the road. Day 7: Monasteries tour visit day to Sucevitza, Moldovitza, Gura Humorului and Voronetz monasteries. After visiting the monasteries. Bucovina(the place where monastaries are located)represents one of the most delightfull area to visit, mostly for the landscapes, combined with the specific traditional architecture of the houses. Old monastaries are everywhere, an historical air could be breath in every moment. Breakfast in Sucevitza guest house, lunch on the road, dinner and accomodation in Gura Humorului in a guest house. Of course, we will be treated here as well with an specific traditional food(don, t forget the wine. ) Day 8:Gura Humorului- Borsa-Valea Izei. Maramures is a lost in time region, with wooden churches more than 700 years old, wooden houses where the same families are living from hundred years . with people dressed in traditional clothes like thousand years before. This is the place we recomand and you, ll never forget. Breakfast on Gura Humorului, lunch on the road in Maramures, dinner near Bistrita town in a guest house. Day9)Bistrita-Sighisoara. This town(Sighisoara) is the last living medieval fortress in Europe, the place where Vlad Tepes, known as Dracula was living for a while. The old town is pure history. Of course, souvenires everywhere, good food and very good beer. Breakfast in Bistrita, lunch to the Dracula house in Sighisoara, dinner(without Dracula) also in the old town . Spare time will be recomanded for you. Accomodation in Sighisoara, in a very nice guest house. Day 10: Sighisoara-Bran. We leave behind the historical area Sighisoara to go to Dracula, s castle in Bran. It, s one of the most visited touristic objective in Romania and preferate by vampires belivers. The place where we will be accomodate it, s full of peace and quiet. The hills have their own specific “peace of mind” Breakfast and Lunch on road, dinner in Simon, the village where we will stay. Day 11: Simon-Bran-Rucar-Busteni. Day 10: Bran-Brasov-Busteni. Visiting "Babele" (Old Ladies), SPHYNX, Caraiman Mountains. Accommodation in Busteni resort. Day 11: Busteni-Sinaia and Peles Castle- Bucharest (departing from Bucharest).
