After seing the best Barcelona sites, it's a great idea to explore the surroundings in the Catalonia region. Let me suggest some great itineraries where I can take you!

*** MONTSERRAT & PENEDÈS WINE COUNTRY: 8h - 735 euro.

Montserrat is the spiritual heart of Catalonia and a Natural Park. In our trip we'll see impressive views of the Holy Mountain and enter the Basilica. Depending on the time available, date of the tour and your interests, we can also visit their impressive Art Museum, or their Audiovisual and exhibit on the life at the Monastery. We can also check out the farmers market and buy more local products at the bakery and the souvenir shop.

Or if you like nature and hiking there is a range of paths that take you into the mountain and away from the crowds of pilgrims and tourists: the 20min walk around the Via Crucis, the 2h round trip to the Holy Cave chapel, the 45min walk down from the top of St. Joan funicular to the Monastery...

After that we'll head for the Penedès Wine Country where we'll visit a cellar to learn the process of wine or cava (local sparkling wine) making and how this industry has always been attached to our country.

I offer you a range of wineries to visit: from monumental ones to family-owned, organic, artisan, award-winners... Tell me about your interests and style, and I'll choose the best place for you!

*** DALÍ MUSEUM IN FIGUERES + MEDIEVAL TOWN OF GIRONA: 8h - 845 euro.

The Dalí Museum of Figueres, Dalí's home town, is considered to be the largest surrealist work in the world, as it was personally designed by Dalí not to look as a museum but a piece of art-work. It features one of the best collections of Dalí’s works in the world. See the famous Basket of Bread, the Galarina, and the Rainy Cadillac, among others. And be surprised to see the unusual place where he chose to to be buried.

After a great tour where you'll discover the inner world of Dalí, his fears, secrets and symbology, we'll head to the town of Girona, famous for its charmingly preserved old quarter. There we can visit there the Cathedral, the Jewish Quarter with its museum, the gardens beside the medieval walls and the medieval baths). And Ill tell you the history and many tales and legends and traditions of this gorgeous city! After lunch in some wonderful local restaurant, we'll head back to Barcelona.

*** ROMAN TARRAGONA + MEDITERRANEAN SITGES: 8h - 780 euro.

We'll drive to Tarragona to visit the remains of the Imperial Tarraco City (walls, forum area, amphitheater… Declared Human Heritage by the UNESCO), and its historic medieval area and the Cathedral.

After this trip back into the past, we'll drive to Sitges for lunch. This charming town by the Mediterrean sea was craddle of the Modernism in Barcelona when the bohemian artists of the first generation of the Catalan Modernist Movement gathered there at the end of the 18 hundreds. We'll see the houses built by the immigrants that came back rich from America, and also walk around its cute old section with whitewashed houses.
